CosmosCrawler
A downloadable game
It's a space RPG... on one A4 page.
Gather some chums and blast into space adventures, meet aliens, take their stuff, die in the cold harsh vacuum of space, what more could you want?!
(Update: - if you perhaps tried this game, but thought it too clumsy, there is a new version under a different name: CosmosDasher please consider giving that a look!)
Why Download This?
A tight rule set aimed at pick-up-and-play RPG-lite gaming for 1 to 6 players; a typical game might last a little over two hours. It's a fairly crunchy game considering how few rules there are. But of course, that's if you don't all die in some cosmic horror right at the start.
I make no apologies the rules are perhaps a little difficult to read, but this is an entire game system, setting and rules presented in just over 1000 words, one day I might make this a more 'real' game by allowing a second page of text, for now, this is the smallest game I've ever made (that is a complete and contained game...)
Why to NOT Download this...
I'll be very upfront about the fact ALL of my developmental effort has focussed into CosmosDasher, to such an extent that this game is, by comparison- a dinosaur, feeling like an alpha test-build of what I took into that game.
This is still playable, but it's slow, probably a few un-patched loopholes and more than a few shaky rules that make no sense when you actually read them. By all means I encourage that you try this game, but I wanted to warn you in advance of the fact.
